According to 82games.com, the
Detroit Pistons
had a positive net PER at three positions during the 08-09 season, meaning that their player at that spot outperformed their opposing counterpart (in terms of PER). Those three positions were shooting guard, small forward and power forward.
The Pistons spent more than $20 million per season on new players at those positions, signing
Ben Gordon
and
Charlie Villanueva
to multi-year deals.
